Do you have a budding David Attenborough or Greta Thunberg in your family?

Children in North Somerset are being invited to help save the planet as part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge.

The Reading Agency has teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund for this special nature-themed challenge to inspire children to read more books while also standing up for the planet.

The free challenge is open to all four to 11-year-olds and they can sign up at any of our libraries from Saturday 10 July.

Children will collect rewards for each book they read during the summer holidays.

If they read six by Saturday 11 September, they’ll receive a certificate and medal (while stocks last) and be entered into a prize draw to win a family forest school session.
