Still chasing the fostering goal

England may have been knocked out of the men’s FIFA World Cup but we’re still chasing our goal – to recruit more foster carers.

We’ve produced a short football-themed video as part of a national campaign with 25 other local authorities.

Each day of the football tournament, a different council fostering team is sharing a video with the message ‘help a young person achieve their goal’.

Our video was published on social media on Tuesday, day 23 of the tournament.

This united campaign raises the importance of fostering.

There is an on-going need for more foster carers in North Somerset, particularly those who could care for children aged from birth to two, 11 and over, or brother and sister groups to keep them together.

If you’re interested in becoming a foster carer to help a child reach their life goals, please step forward.

We welcome people from all backgrounds, of all different ages, genders, ethnicities, no matter your relationship status or sexual orientation.
