Spectacular street dance and spooky goings-on will be thrilling families this month.

Here’s a round-up of what’s coming up in North Somerset over the next few weeks…

  • Watch artists and creatives come together for a Friday night chat as part of a new YouTube series for Weston-super-Mare. Chip Chat, hosted on the Culture Weston YouTube channel is a new series where professional artists, emerging artists and wider residents of Weston meet up over chips to chat culture and heritage. It’s been launched as part of Historic England’s 21st Century super Shrines project in Weston’s Heritage Action Zone
  • Experience spooky storytelling, magic, games, craft and more at a monster of a Halloween party. Weston super Scare is a fun, family event hosted by children’s entertainer Action Pussycat, from 2pm-4pm next Tuesday (25 October) at the Stable Games Room, in the High Street, Weston-super-Mare. Tickets must be bought in advance.
  • Pick up a tasty autumn treat at a popular food and drink fair. eat:Clevedon comes to Queens Square and Alexandra Road on Saturday 30 October.
  • Would your children be brave enough to visit the museum after dark? Hear creepy stories and explore the galleries in an exclusive Halloween trail at Weston Museum. Museum After Dark, is from 5pm-7.30pm on Saturday 30 October. Tickets £5 per child with one free accompanying adult. Not suitable for under-7s.
  • See expressive and highly energetic dance during a double bill set of shows from acclaimed street dance artist Joshua ‘Vendetta’ Nash. The show, presented by Theatre Orchard, is on Wednesday 3 November at the Winter Gardens in Weston-super-Mare. Tickets £10 in advance from Culture Weston 
  • Would you walk on fire for charity? Brave souls are needed for Weston Hospicecare’s Fire Walk, on Weston’s beach on Sunday 7 November. Feel temperatures of 1,000F on the soles of your feet (you’ll have a safety briefing beforehand) and help raise funds for the hospice.
