- Free outdoor activities now take place every Saturday in Portishead. ParkPlay is for people of all ages to meet up in the park and enjoy informal games and activities. It’s a great way to make friends, have fun and be more active. Just register in advance and turn up to Merlin Park from 10am to 11.30am every Saturday. Other ParkPlay sessions take place in Castle Batch, Weston-super-Mare, and Clevedon.
- Have you spotted new murals popping up around Weston-super-Mare town centre? World class artists have returned to bring some colour to the coast as part of Weston Wallz. Public spaces are being transformed, with 18 mew murals being added to the 41 created in previous years. See the map of them all online.

- Would you like to find out about volunteering opportunities in and around Nailsea? Discover the opportunities available during a Volunteers Fair, with free children’s entertainment. Visit Scotch Horn Leisure Centre, Nailsea, from 10am to 3pm on Sunday 22 September.
- Discover live music, art and creativity in all forms during Portishead Arts Festival, from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 September. The free festival includes art exhibitions, spoken word, dance, and performances in three main venues and outside spaces.
- More than 100 local producers will be selling tasty treats at the autumn edition of eat:Weston, in the Italian Gardens from 10am-4pm on Saturday 28 September.
- Support small businesses in Clevedon as they showcase their services during a Community Fair on Saturday 12 October. Visit Christchurch Clevedon from 10am-3pm.
- Enjoy an evening of pure relaxation and browse and buy some beautiful gifts, during a Wellbeing Evening in aid of Weston Hospicecare. Enjoy a treatment, attend a workshop or enjoy delicious refreshments. Free entry, from 6.30pm-9pm on Thursday 17 October at Victory Hall in Uphill.
