The review considers whether current parish boundaries, names and governance arrangements still reflect local identities and meet community needs.
We must carry out a review every 10 to 15 years. Local changes, such as new housing developments or population growth, may mean adjustments are needed. Outcomes of a CGR can include creating, merging or altering parishes, changing parish wards, or amending the number of councillors.
We are now at the second stage of consultation, with draft recommendations published following the feedback received during the first stage of consultation earlier this year. This is your chance to comment on the proposals before final recommendations are agreed in December.
Residents, community groups and local organisations are encouraged to take part. You can view the draft recommendations and share your views online.
The deadline for all responses is Friday 31 October 2025.
