Love the outdoors this month with model air shows, markets, music and more…

  • The special 30th anniversary Woodspring Model Air Show lifts off tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday (12 September). 10am-5pm both days.
  • See a wide selection of motorcycles, classics, custom, sports, tourer, cafe racer, trade stands and more when the Nailsea Bike Show returns tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday (12 September), at the Ring O’Bells pub. Free entry and money raised goes to Children’s Hospice South West.
  • Live music, craft drinks, street food and local produce can be enjoyed at Clevedon Twilight Market tomorrow (Saturday). Enjoy the fun from 5-10pm in Queens Square. Free entry.
  • Do you play an acoustic instrument? Visit the Stable Games Room, in Weston-super-Mare, on Sunday (12 September) for the Acoustic Open Mic Night, from 7.30-9.30pm. Sign-ups begin at 6:30pm and you’ll have 10 minutes on stage.
  • Love the outdoors and learn something new during a fun family event to celebrate Weston’s newest wellbeing space. Love the Outdoors features bug finding, history games, a tree trail, timed activities, bird box painting, yoga sessions and more, from 10am-3pm on Saturday 18 September at Ellenborough Park West.
  • A bouncy castle and assault course can be enjoyed for free during an Inflatable Fun Day in Weston Museum’s courtyard, from 10am-4pm on Saturday 25 September. This is expected to be a popular event and children will be catered for on a first come first served basis. Pre-booking is unavailable.
  • Tickle your tastebuds at the ever popular Eat food festivals in North Somerset. eat:Weston takes place on Saturday 25 September and eat:Nailsea on Saturday 9 October.
  • The Beach Race is back on Weston beach, from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 October. The unique six-mile course has some impressive dunes for riders to tackle.
  • How will the future look? Re:Act presents Heroes Of Our Time, a theatre production which imagines how the world could look in 50 years’ time if corners of the UK have been submerged underwater and stand as plastic wastelands. See it at the Tropicana, in Weston, on Saturday 2 October. The performance is both indoor and outdoor so be prepared for all weathers and to move to each location.
