Grants of up to £10,000 are available to help North Somerset businesses cut their carbon footprint.

The third round of Green Business Grants is now open to help businesses move towards more sustainable operations, thanks to funding through the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

The funding is a real opportunity for local businesses to future-proof their operations, reduce overheads, and become more resilient.

Supporting our business community to adopt greener technologies is not just good for the environment, it also strengthens our local economy.

Previous applicants are already seeing improvements.

Outdoors & Active, in Weston-super-Mare, is already seeing results after installing solar PV panels.

In April the electricity bill was only £8.

Small capital grants range from £500 to £4,999 and don’t need a carbon survey. The application must be in by the end of May.

Large capital grants range from £5,000 to £10,000 and require a carbon survey. These applications should be in by Monday 30 June.
