Help shape proposed designs to improve much-loved places in Weston-super-Mare.

We’ve appointed a team led by architecture practice We Made That to design three projects in the town - Grove Park, Marine Lake and ‘wayfinding’, encouraging people to move around the town centre and seafront.

These projects are being funded from the £20m we received from the UK government’s Levelling Up Fund and is part of our ambitious vision for the town.

You’ll have the opportunity to help shape designs and get involved at a series of events.

The first is the free family-friendly Grove Park Gathering, from noon to 4pm on Saturday 1 June, organised by Super Culture.

The afternoon will include poetry, illustration and arts and crafts to help get creative ideas flowing, as well as live music from the bandstand.

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the Levelling Up Fund and share memories, stories and experiences of Grove Park, Marine Lake and the town centre.

Sprout Café will be serving up Middle Eastern food with Global Kitchen, provided thanks to funding from Refugees Welcome North Somerset and Loves Café.
