Supporting local businesses, developing employment and skills opportunities and empowering communities, is the focus of the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), of which we’ve been awarded £2.5m to use until April 2025.
A number of initiatives are being set up, with grants and training available to organisations across North Somerset.
Could you help care leavers?
Bespoke training is available to help businesses provide employment opportunities for care leavers.
A diverse workforce means you tap into new perspectives and create a supportive and inclusive environment, which has been proven to increase employee retention and improve reputation.
We want to build strong partnerships with local businesses to provide work placement opportunities, helping care leavers to build employment skills and businesses to meet their recruitment needs.
