There are now 103 publicly accessible bleed kits located across North Somerset and knowing where your nearest one is could help save a life.

Emergency bleed kits placed in our communities have already saved many lives, according to the HeartSafe Partnership. Designed for use in critical situations where someone is suffering severe blood loss, the kits are free to use, unlocked and available to anyone in an emergency.

Each kit contains simple, easy-to-use equipment such as trauma dressings and tourniquets. They are intended to be used immediately while waiting for emergency services to arrive, helping to control life-threatening bleeding during those crucial first minutes.

Across North Somerset, bleed kits can be found in a wide range of public locations, including schools, parks, town centres, seafront areas and other open spaces, making them accessible when they are needed most.

Residents are being encouraged to take a moment to familiarise themselves with the location of their nearest kit. In an emergency, knowing where to find one quickly could make a critical difference.
