There are just a few days left to take part in our first consultation about possible housing and employment development on land we own in North Somerset.

We want your views but you only have until 9am on Monday (20 June) to have your say.

We want to know which sites you would like to see included in the development programme and what type of development should take place on those sites.

The consultation is based on our development strategy, which we adopted in February last year.

We want to:

  • provide homes and jobs that meet the needs of its communities, now and in the future, while helping with government targets for housing supply
  • offer better quality and more sustainable developments
  • deliver sites that the market won’t deliver, including difficult brownfield land and employment sites, and
  • generate funding to help deliver other priorities, such as investing in schools, transport links and leisure facilities.

Responses received from this consultation will help shape a final programme of development to be considered by Full Council in the autumn.

Detailed consultations will then follow on the preferred development sites.

Hearing what our communities think is an important part of the process.

Tell us what you think by filling in the consultation on our website.
