Grants between £5,000 and £25,000 are available through the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) to help businesses and community groups improve their productivity and connectivity, and develop new products and services that would benefit the local economy.
Funding is available for capital projects that will have a positive local impact, such as strengthening buildings and equipment or investing in energy efficient and low carbon technologies.
So far 16 businesses and community groups have already benefited from the scheme.
To be eligible, businesses and community groups must be based in hamlets, villages or towns of North Somerset with populations below 10,000, or ‘hub towns’ with populations of up to 30,000 which serve rural areas for employment and services, such as Clevedon.
All projects must include an element of match funding, with businesses contributing 25 per cent, and community groups contributing 10 per cent towards total project costs.
Find out more and apply on our website by noon on Friday 28 June.
