We’re hosting a tech donation event for people to drop off their unused or outdated devices which will then be refurbished and distributed to individuals and families in our local communities who need them.
Old technology can become valuable tools for students and families who lack the resources to purchase new technology, helping to bridge the digital divide and supporting education for all.
Access to technology can open doors to new opportunities, from job searching to accessing essential services and staying connected with loved ones.
Refurbishing and reusing electronics is also good for the planet as it reduces electronic waste and promotes a sustainable environment.
Those receiving donations will be identified through our Opportunity North Somerset programme, funded by the government.
Drop off your old gadgets from 11am to 2pm on Saturday 27 July.
We'll be on the Central Chambers forecourt outside the Town Hall, Walliscote Road, Weston-super-Mare.
Please make sure you unlink your Apple devices from your iCloud account before donating. For Samsung devices, please perform a factory reset through your settings.
