The cost of living crisis a worry for many people.

Yesterday (Thursday) UK interest rates were raised to 1.25 per cent, the highest level for 13 years, to try and stem the pace of soaring prices.

Inflation is at a 40-year-high of nine per cent and is predicted to go even higher.

Energy prices are also expected to drive living costs even higher in October when the energy price cap resets.

Now more than ever it’s vital that people with money worries are linked into support at the earliest opportunity.

We’ve worked with the Independent Food Aid Network and Trussell Trust to produce a new leaflet, North Somerset: Worrying About Money?

The leaflet, available to view on our website, is part of a national approach to help people out of or prevent financial crisis.

It has been designed as a straightforward resource for people to quickly see which local agencies are best placed to help with available options.

If you work in an organisation that supports people, free online sessions are taking place later this month to provide more information.

The sessions will highlight the types of support available so you can help someone facing financial crisis or money worries.

Sessions take place on:

  • Tuesday 28 June, 10-11am
  • Thursday 30 June, 2-3pm

Book your space through Eventbrite.
