Schools in North Somerset are off next week but there’s plenty going on to help keep boredom at bay…

  • A free theatrical event for all the family can be seen in Weston this weekend. Performance art roadshow installation Club Supreme by Ramshacklicious is coming to The Sovereign Centre (in the former Citizens Advice Bureau unit). Join a playful exploration to re-invent yourself and discover what being ‘supreme’ means to you. Performances tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday between 11am-1pm and 2-4pm. Drop-in, no-tickets needed.
  • Free guided bike rides are taking place along the Strawberry Line, whether you want to improve your fitness, gain cycle confidence, get outdoors more or meet new people. The next guided rides take place from 1pm tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday 27 February, starting from the Strawberry Line Cycle Project at Yatton train station. Bring your own bike or use one of the hire bikes. Email strawberrylineprojects@gmail.com for more details or to reserve a place.
  • There’s lots happening at Weston Museum over the school break next week. Choose from making catapults with Lego, a children’s history quiz, a Dino Dig, Stone Age Art, Roman Invasion, the World Wars, or Inflatable Fun. Various charges apply.
  • Enjoy an evening of wonderful word during the Speakeasy Online Poetry Evening, on Thursday 24 February. Acclaimed guest poet Jessica Mookherjee will join an eclectic mix of guest professional poets and open mic sessions, organised by Theatre Orchard.
  • Watch the spectacular Fireworks at Sea display, at the Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare, on Saturday 26 February. Various packages available.
