Hop on the bus and explore North Somerset for free later this month.

We’re supporting the First West of England Free Bus Travel Day initiative on Tuesday 26 July so it also includes council-backed services operated by Stagecoach and the HCT Group.

Take the opportunity to get around North Somerset, or even into and out of Bristol, and pay absolutely nothing.

Whether you fancy visiting Weston-super-Mare’s newly reopened Marine Lake, the beautiful harbourside in Portishead, or boutique shops in Clevedon, there’s something for everyone.

No voucher or special codes are needed - just turn up and use any of the valid services to travel for free from 4.30am until the last bus of the day.

The initiative reinforces our commitment to reducing emissions in North Somerset and get to net zero by 2030, by encouraging residents to swap their cars for more environmentally-friendly and sustainable modes of transport.

Buses can deliver a genuine, sustainable and cost-effective alternative to private vehicles.

Free Bus Travel Day is valid on the following routes in both directions on Tuesday 26 July:

  • 3 – Weston-super-Mare (Worle to Searle Crescent) – First West of England
  • 7 – Weston-super-Mare (Worle to Haywood Village) – First West of England
  • 50 – Weston-super-Mare (West Wick to Hutton) – Stagecoach West
  • 51 – Weston-super-Mare to Wrington – First West of England
  • 53 – Clevedon Town Circular – HCT Group
  • 54 – Clevedon to Bristol Airport – HCT Group
  • 55 – Bristol Airport to Hengrove Park – HCT Group
  • 57 – Portishead to Wetlands Lane – Stagecoach West
  • 59 – Nailsea to Portishead – Stagecoach West
  • 126 – Weston-super-Mare to Wells – First West of England
  • X1 – Weston-super-Mare to Bristol – First West of England
  • X2 – Yatton to Bristol – First West of England
  • X4 – Portishead to Bristol – First West of England
  • X5 – Weston-super-Mare – First West of England
  • X6 – Clevedon to Bristol – First West of England
