Spring will soon be here and the diary is busy with comedy, music and more to welcome in the new season…
- Portishead residents can enjoy a day dedicated to health and happiness during a Spring into Wellbeing event on Saturday 2 March. The event focuses on mental, emotional and physical health, with activities across the town, including Somerset Hall, The Beacon Hub, Folk Hall and library.
- Becky Walsh brings you into her comedy kitchen to cook up some vibrant life force with her sell-out live comedy show Burnout. See the show, at the Front Room Theatre in Central Walk, Weston-super-Mare, from 7.30pm on Saturday 2 March. The show includes verbal obscenities.
- Brush up on your dance moves for a night of Northern Soul on the Grand Pier, in Weston-super-Mare. See Angelo Starr and The Edwin Starr Band, along with DJFlayva playing all your favourites, from 7pm on Friday 8 March. Tickets from TicketTailor
- Smell beautiful spring flowers at the Portishead Spring Show, held at the Folk Hall in the High Street, from 12.30pm-4.30pm on Saturday 9 March. Enjoy flowers, plants, floral arrangements, cookery, art and photography.
- Get your skates on when the popular Back to the 90s Roller Discos return on Saturday 16 March. Bring your own skates or borrow some there. Three sessions available: young family - 1.30pm-3pm, teen - 3.30pm-5pm, young adult/adults - 5.30pm-7pm
- Re-live the music of the 90s, whether you were Blur or Oasis, Spice Girls or All Saints, Beastie Boys or Vanilla Ice, Prodigy or Shaggy. Back to the 90s returns to the Tropicana, with three DJs in two rooms, from 8pm on Saturday 16 March. Over 18s only. Tickets from Ticketsource
