- Model rail enthusiasts can see 21 layouts and visit 12 trader stalls at the Weston-super-Mare Model Railway Exhibition. This two-day show is on from 10am to 4pm tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday, at Priory Community School, Queensway, Weston-super-Mare.
- Interactive days for tots and children are coming to the Helicopter Museum in Locking, Weston-super-Mare. Heli-Tots Day is tomorrow (Sunday) and Heli-Kids Day is Sunday 23 February. Younger visitors can enjoy a character hunt, touch and feel exhibits, colouring stations, bespoke tours, open cockpits, climb into a rescue harness and sit in the pilot's seat. Activities take place between 10am and 2pm.
- Children’s entertainer Kid Carpet is back with a fun packed interactive rock show. Hear all the best songs and games from Kid Carpet's anarchic family shows mashed up and remixed during the Super mega Rockin’ Rock Show. Shows at 11am and 2pm tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday, at Front Room Theatre, Weston-super-Mare.
- A fun-filled show for all the family is coming to The Blakehay Theatre in Weston-super-Mare, tomorrow (Saturday). Prepare to be surprised, thrilled and tickled pink by Angelica Sprocket's never-ending pockets, and the marvellous things she keeps in them. Angelica Sprocket’s Pockets is filled with Folksy’s touch of live music, puppetry, audience interaction and madness.
- Ready to embark on an epic adventure? Young adventurers can step into a world of magic, mystery, and imagination by playing Dungeons and Dragons for Kids at The Stable Games Room, in High Street, Weston-super-Mare. Ages 8 to 13 on Monday (17 February), and ages 12 to 16 on Thursday (20 February).
- Young train enthusiasts can enjoy ride-on trains, giant track layouts, superstations, build your own track kits and more during a Trainmaster session, on Tuesday (18 February), at Portishead Youth and Community Centre, in Harbour Road. All ages welcome and sibling discounts offered.
- Indoor and outdoor activities can be enjoyed by families with children aged under eight on Tuesday (18 February). The February Fun Event runs from 10am to noon at Locking Castle Children's Centre, based at The Campus, in Locking Castle, Weston-super-Mare. Entrance costs £2 per family.
- Wash off your barnacles, put on your best eyepatch and enjoy a Pirate Family Fun Day, on Tuesday (18 February), at Weston Museum in Burlington Street. Fancy dress is encouraged. Free activities and Pirate Playoff at 11am, 12pm and 1.15pm. Additional activities, including digging for buried treasure, making a pirate flag and treasure map, will also take place. - Super slimy fun is coming to Portishead. The slime making workshop is from 11am next Wednesday (19 February), at Portishead Methodist Church in the High Street. Suitable for ages 4 and over.
- Minecraft fun is coming to Nailsea on Thursday 20 February. The Minecraft Morning session is open to young people who live in Nailsea or attend school there. It runs from 10am - 12.30pm and spaces must be booked in advance.
- Weston-super-Mare’s most competitive war of words returns on Thursday 20 February. The Rhyme Against The Tide poetry slam is from 7.30pm at Loves café in West Street.
- A pop-up circus is coming to Clevedon for one day only. The Lucas Jet Circus Extravaganza is on at 1pm and 3pm on Friday 21 February at Princes Hall in Princes Road. See popular circus double act Lucas Jet and Jony Juggler perform juggling, acrobatics, ladder stunts, giant unicycles and hat manipulation. Audience participation from the children in the crowd is welcomed. Doors open 30 minutes before the performance, including a free circus workshop up until five minutes before the show.
- Learn to code in Minecraft in a fun interactive environment. The next Coding in Minecraft Club is on Saturday 22 February at Yatton Library. Each three-hour session is suitable for children aged 8 to 12 who love playing Minecraft and wish to learn or improve their coding skills. Participants learn how to program mini games, automate builds, and change gameplay behaviour in Minecraft. Lessons are tailored to suit different skill levels.
