We want to know what you think about childcare and early years provision in North Somerset to help shape it in the future.
Responses from the consultation will help us understand where childcare or school wraparound provision is being used and where there may be gaps or challenges.
We’ll use the information to help allocate any available support and funding in the future.
We strongly believe in the importance of early years provision and effective early intervention and know how vital early help is for children and families.
It maximises their developmental potential, identifies challenges early on, supports families, and sets a strong foundation for future success.
We want to get things right early on, to make a positive impact on our children’s – and society’s – lifelong wellbeing.
One of our ambitions in our new corporate plan is to ensure children and young people are cared for, safe, supported, and are given equality of opportunity to thrive.
If you use, or are planning to use, childcare or early years services then please take part in the consultation.
Find out more and have your say on our website by 5pm on Monday 22 January.
Section six of the Childcare Act 2006 places a duty on English local authorities to secure sufficient childcare for working parents and carers.
