Are you considering your career options as we head towards the new year?

Whether you’re returning to work after a break or looking for new opportunities, a career in care might be just the right fit for you.

Becoming a care worker could mean a job which makes a real difference and has a positive impact in your local community, while also fitting in around your other commitments.

It’s a rewarding and fulfilling experience, offering a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

More care workers are urgently needed here in North Somerset to help some of the area’s most vulnerable residents.

You would be enhancing the wellbeing of people who may be facing various challenges.

Some of the most in-demand jobs include working in people’s homes to help them remain independent or support them to access services in their community, supporting someone with a learning disability or mental health condition, or being a personal assistant.

We’re supporting the Be Proud To Care campaign to recruit more care workers across North Somerset.

This website links to all the current jobs listed in our online directory. All training and support is given.

Jobs might also be advertised through companies directly, such as local family business Access Your Care.

Access Your Care is one of North Somerset’s largest domiciliary care providers and has supported more than 25,000 individuals since 2011, delivering care in Weston-super-Mare, Worle and surrounding villages.

Flexible work schedules are available, tailored to your specific needs.

Roles include being an adult care worker, providing vital support and personal care to allow people to continue living in their own homes.

Or as a reablement care practitioner, you would be helping people regain or maintain skills and confidence after a hospital stay or medical treatments.

Whatever your role, you will work with a variety of other professionals and partners in the health and social care sector, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing teams, GPs, and social workers.

Visit the Access Your Care website for more information and current vacancies.
