The scheme will provide new pedestrian crossing points, cycle parking and a dedicated cycle lane. This will form the start and end point of the Pier to Pier Way, which will be completed early next year.
The 13-mile path will provide an attractive new route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders between Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon.
The work to The Beach will complement the improvements already made to the Hill Road area of Clevedon.
The scheme aims to encourage more walking and cycling in the town, which is part of our commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles and tackling the climate emergency.
Work on The Beach is due to be completed by early December.
