If your child will soon enter year 2 at an infant school, year 4 at a first school, year 6 at a primary school or year 8 at a middle school, you must also soon make an application for them to transfer to the next phase.
Applications can be made on our website from Thursday 12 September.
The deadline to apply for a secondary school place from year 7, transferring from middle to upper school, or transferring to a University Technical School (UTC) or free school is 11.59pm on Thursday 31 October.
The deadline to apply for those starting school in reception for the first time, transferring from infant to junior school, or transferring from first to middle school is 11.59pm on Wednesday 15 January 2025.
You can name up to three preferences and apply for schools both within and outside North Somerset.
