We need nurturing and empathetic people who can provide help and support in a loving home.
Some of our children have disabilities and just need care on a part-time basis to provide their families with some well-earned rest.
Others need full-time care while we look for other options, and some children need long-term homes until they’re adults.
Foster carers play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable children and young people across North Somerset and we’re now looking for carers who may have some professional experience caring for children with additional needs.
We need carers who can help children reach their potential and make a real difference in their lives.
Last year we produced a short film to hear from several local foster carers and a young person in care about their experiences.
Carers of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations and relationship statuses are welcomed.
A strong package of support is available, such as training and peer support through the Mockingbird Programme.
