Are you a landlord concerned about the future of the private rented sector?

Fundamental changes are expected this year with the Renters (Reform) Bill but we can help you navigate the changing landscape.

Proposed changes include the abolition of section 21 ‘no fault’ evictions, a new private rented sector ombudsman, a new privately rented property portal and giving tenants the right to request a pet in the property.

We rely on the private rented sector to provide good quality homes for local people so we’re hosting an information event next Wednesday (24 April) to offer advice and support for landlords.

Representatives from the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) will be at the event to answer questions.

Our free lettings service includes:

  • documentation to ensure legal compliance at the start of the tenancy
  • support throughout the tenancy term
  • free health and safety checks
  • matching tenants according to a landlord’s criteria, and giving landlords the final choice of tenant
  • financial incentives for providing affordable, good quality homes
  • referrals for grants and loans to help with energy efficiency
  • discounted membership of the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA).

The event starts at 5.30pm in the Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare. Head to the main Town Hall reception area and ask for the Rickford Room.

You can also be added to a mailing list if you can’t make it on the day.
