More than 57,000 people have already signed up through our website to contact us at a time that suits them.
Going online this way makes it easier for you to contact us at your convenience and also benefits us by saving money, which we can use instead to provide essential services to local residents. It also leaves the telephone lines clearer for our most vulnerable customers.
Creating an account on our website is quick and easy to do. First choose either a residential or business account then follow the steps to validate your email address before starting to use the service.
Even if you don’t live in North Somerset, you can still create an account to access some online services, such as:
- council tax – view your details, set up a direct debit, make payments, apply for discounts and change your address details
- housing benefit – make an application and tell us about a change in your circumstances
- business rates – view your account online
- environmental problems – report issues such as graffiti and fly-tipping
- roads and pavements – tell us about a pothole or a blocked road drain
- report a missed waste collection or ask for a new or replacement bin.
When you report a problem online, officers will add updates to the case as appropriate. You can view these by logging into your report history.
If you can’t get online at home, public computers are available in all our libraries. Find out more on our website.
If you know someone who isn’t online and needs help accessing our services, face-to-face sessions are also available.
Our customer service officers visit libraries across the area to see people who need support but can’t get online or contact us over the phone.
Drop-in sessions run on:
- Mondays - Healthy Living Centre Library, 10am to 2pm
- Tuesdays – Pill Library, 10am to 2pm
- Wednesdays – Nailsea Library, 10am to 2pm
- Thursdays – Yatton Library, 10am to 2pm
- Fridays – Portishead Library, 10am to 2pm, and Clevedon Library, 2.30pm to 5pm.
If you can go online then please continue to do so to make sure these face-to-face sessions are freed-up for people who really need this support.
