Lockdowns and restrictions to fight Covid-19 have had unprecedented impact on businesses throughout the area.

We’ve been offering free advice and guidance as well as developing new initiatives to help businesses during this exceptionally challenging time.

So far we’ve made grant payments of nearly £75.5m to local businesses but some grants are limited by the claim period or amount available.

It’s really important to get in touch with us so we can make sure your business is getting all the financial support available.

The latest Restart grant is for non-essential retail, hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care, or gym sectors.

Eligible businesses only have until the end of July to make a claim.

We’ve also produced a reopening guide to help cut through all the complicated rules and a guide to the virtual high street, which connects businesses to customers by letting shoppers see nearby shops, cafes, restaurants, hairdressers and beauticians and linking to relevant social media.

Social media training by tech firm Maybe* is also available.
